The County Recorder maintains a permanent archive of recorded documents, such as grant deeds and subdivision maps, among others. The Recorder is responsible for examination and recording of all documents presented to this office that deal with establishing ownership of land in the county or as required by law. 

The Recorder also collects Documentary Transfer Tax on all property sales. All official records documents are recorded, indexed, scanned and stored. The public may search, view and copy these records for a fee, as allowed by law.
